The date is NOT visible, however, there is a distinctive die break on the reverse running through the "D" in UNITED and going up into the last S in STATES that are only found on some 1808 large cents, allowing us to identify this coin as an 1808 S-277 large cent (S-277 is the Sheldon variety) The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. It has damaged surfaces on both sides and is bent slightly.
