    Description

This is an interesting and SCARCE 1811/0 Classic Head Large Cent in G condition.  The 1811/0 Large Cent overdate is quite SCARCE on its own, but this coin also has a neat CLIP error as shown.  The overdate is quite obvious, as is the CLIP Error.  The clip shows the Blakesly effect at the opposite rim to the clip which confirms its authenticity.
"The Blakesley Effect is a term used to describe
    inefficient metal flow
, opposite a clip on a coin, when the rim is formed and the subsequent imperfect or incomplete rim formed at that position after striking."  The coin
grades around G condition with plenty of details showing.  Full clear date, all stars showing, and a full LIBERTY.  The reverse has a fully outlined wreath and readable lettering with most letters clear.  A small spot of corrosion (which I did not attempt to remove) under the A in STATES is noted for accuracy; it does not take away from the appeal or SCARCITY of this coin.  An interesting and SCARCE Large Cent.  Don't miss this opportunity.  These don't come around.  Fast shipping with 1 day turnaround.
