Allied Radio "Knight Space Spanner" Multi-Band Radio with original headphones

Famous vintage Knight Space-Spanner radio. Operates on short-wave frequency from 6-17 mc and the standard AM broadcast band. This radio is incredibly clean for its age. Check out the photos. I doubt there is a nicer one available. The last year of prouction for this model was 1962 so it is at least 60 years old! This is a later production model from the unit shown in the old ad. (pic #3)
The two tubes I can see (2 of 3) are both Mullard. I believe they are original equipment.
Note that the left knob is missing. That is very common on these radios. You can find out why by going to analogdial dot com and searching spacespanner
And look at all that's included: The radio also has an internal speaker. However, it also includes the original, but optional, headphones offered by Allied Radio. Search on Ebay and you will see a few of these offered alone for -60. The vinyl covered wood cabinet was an option too. The cabinet is included and it is also in very good condtion.
This is a beautiful display piece as-is, or bring it back to operating condition.
As with most vintage electrical items, I did not test this unit. I would rather let the buyer do that with the proper caution required with vintage electronics.
