Vintage Cast Iron Fountain

KLOSTERNEUBURG
Cannot locate any manufacturing or foundry marks on back side
Appears to be quite old (see all photos—layers of patina), and presumably comes from Klosterneuburg, Austria—and was made there. My guess is that it came from the Monastery but I did not find any information doing an Internet search—and due to the apparent age of fountain it is not clear who FRANZ LANG is. This could be an interesting Antique for the Antiques Road Show—there could be a very interesting story behind its origin, and how it came to California.

In Solid but Distressed Condition. When this came to me it was completely covered in thick black paint, and It has been a project over a couple of years peeling away the black paint. There are areas where the porcelain/enamel is chipped and parts of cast iron are exposed. There is rust in areas especially the bottom drain, and pipe (see last photos). There is a removable cover over the bottom drain pipe—photos show the bottom of fountain with and without cover.
