VINTAGE POSTER FOR ZANE GREY WESTERN FILM "DESERT GOLD"
Offered for sale is a full-size poster for a 1950s re-release of the film DESERT GOLD (Paramount, dir. James P. Hogan). The film originally premiered in 1936 and starred Robert Cummings and former Olympic swimmer Buster Crabbe. This was the third film based on the Zane Grey novel of the same name; previous versions were released in 1919 and 1926.
As this is a re-release poster, NOT an original, this poster is branded with the Favorite Films logo in the bottom right corner. Favorite Films Corporation handled the distribution of many classic re-releases.
Condition is very good. The poster is folded and has small holes wearing through where the fold lines intersect. The name of the film is stamped on the back. The front is still clean-looking and brightly colored, with no pinholes or other evidence of hanging. A great piece of vintage movie memorabilia, ready for framing and display!
Measures approx. 41" tall x 27" wide.
