APOLLO 12 – RICHARD GORDON
.  Apollo 12 was the second manned mission to land on the moon in November 1969.  The landing was planned and executed as a precise landing by Mission Commander Peter Conrad, Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, and Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon to acquire information from the Surveyor 3 unmanned probe which landed in April 1967.

NASA 16 mm 12 min color sound training film used by Richard Gordon to prepare for the Apollo 12 mission.  The film is labeled with a description and Gordon’s name “Training Film, 987-6 7/8 # aa 621 XYZ 1/2, Required Viewing, Dick Gordon, 16 mm Color Sound - 12 min”, measures 9.25”, inside a metal storage can, in overall fine condition, and accompanied with a signed certificate of authenticity from Gordon
’s son, Richard Gordon III, acknowledging the film came from
Gordon
’s personal collection
.  An almost identical Apollo 12 training film recently sold for ,250 at Bonhams in September 2017; however, this film was not used or owned by one of the Apollo 12 astronauts.
