Richard Widmark stars as a tough and unloved commander of Navy Frogmen in this World War II era drama made in the early fifites. The picture reads like a laundry list of 20th Century Fox contract players of that time - Widmark, Dana Andrews, Gary Merrill, Jeffrey Hunter, Robert Wagner and others. The film is loaded with lots of action and good underwater photography of military maneuvers against Japanese submarines.
