Original 20th Century-Fox One-Sheet Poster (27x41) for the popular Howard Hawks musical comedy, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (1953) starring Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe. This film was flashy, funny, warm, and opulent with Russell and Monroe performing great song and dance routines in sometimes lavish and outrageous costumes. Monroe's legendary "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" is more captivating than any of the numerous parodies and tributes made afterwards. Marilyn Monroe was never more adorable and innocent than her persona in this film. Russell also turns in a marvelously comic performance and manages to project a warm sense of sisterhood in her scenes with Monroe. This poster has been signed by Jane Russell and Lyricist Jule Styne.
