Four original pressbooks, all uncut. The "Day the World Ended/Phantom from 10,000 Leagues" (1956) pressbook is missing pages but has a plethora of fabulous ad mats illustrated, including one that's a dead ringer for the combo six sheet. Other titles include "The Skull" (1965) starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, "The Devil's Partner/Creature from the Haunted Sea" (1962) from Roger Corman's Filmgroup company and "4D Man" (1959), Jack H. Harris's followup to "The Blob". All contain all manner of promotional ideas, like having an ambulance in front of the theater ("...all gags that have been used...but have never failed to build box office grosses."). Then there's the "Coffin Contest" and, of course, the ,000,000 offer to actually perform the feats in "4D Man ". (I tried to walk through a wall but I broke my nose. Jack harris just sat there and laughed, the bastard!)
Examples of a more innocent time of blatant hype with lots of articles to plant in the local papers. Downsize I must so take advantage of my temporary insanity.
