  • Condition: This original, restored, and linen backed movie poster displays deep, rich colors with excellent details of the images on a very clean background. The few, minor flaws that exist post restoration are unobtrusive to the appearance of the poster. The prior vertical Fold line above center of the posters is barely visible but only under bright light nd very close inspection. There is faint line (1") on the bottom right to the right of the Universal logo. There is a small (1/4") mark at the bottom left corner area above the word "BY". There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue,. There is no soiling or smudges. There is no loss of paper or color. The poster has a low gloss. This original poster is immediately ready to be framed and displayed to showcase a truly B- movie type horror image. A very clean, sharp looking poster. Please review the photos carefully.

    This is the Original (1sh) movie poster
    MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS.
    It was used by
    Universal International
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1958.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
    Arthur Franz, Joanna Moore, Judson Pratt
    , Nancy Walters,
    Troy Donahue
    , and Whit Bissell.
    It was directed by Jack Arnold.
    The artwork is by Reynold Brown.
    This original movie poster is rolled and linen backed and measures 26.5" x 41".
    With the linen, it measures 28.25" x " x 42.5".  Prior to restoration and linen backing, the poster was Folded.   Most original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded.  This is not considered a flaw or defect.
    This original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine/Near Mint.
    Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.
    The pre-restoration grade was C6.5, Fine Plus.
    Restoration corrected edge and fold wear, minor fold separations, creases, tears, pinholes, smudges, staining, tape stains, misfolds, chips in the borders and crossfolds, and light toning.  Restoration also repaired a 10 inch tear from the right border into the image, across the word "Monster" in the title.
    After restoration, this original movie poster now displays beautifully. It has a very clean appearance with solid and rich colors and iconic B-movie images.  And the details of the images are excellent.
