ROAD TO BALI 1sh 1952 Bing Crosby, Bob Hope & sexy Dorothy Lamour in Indonesia!
An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm])
Road to Bali, the 1952 Hal Walker Indonesia musical screwball adventure comedy sequel (one of the highly successful "Road to..." pictures) starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Murvyn Vye, Peter Coe, Ralph Moody, Leon Askin, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume!
Storyline
Having to leave Melbourne in a hurry to avoid various marriage proposals, two song-and-dance men sign on for work as divers. This takes them to an idyllic island on the way to Bali where they vie with each other for the favours of Princess Lala. The hazardous dive produces a chest of priceless jewels which arouses the less romantic interest of some shady locals.
All posters will shipped rolled even if the poster was folded, refolding the poster could cause damage to the fold lines.
