This film was one of Marilyn Monroe's most popular comedies and the posters on this title are very collectible. Touchup has been applied to edge wear, a few creases, and mild tears and chips in the borders. There is some slight post-restoration smudging and the borders have been airbrushed. The poster looks absolutely terrific and will display extremely well.
How to Marry a Millionaire
was Fox's first film to be shot in the new CinemaScope
wide-screen sound process.
Between scenes, the cinematography has some iconic color views of mid-20th century New York City:
Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, the United Nations, and the Brooklyn Bridge in the opening credit sequence plus the Empire, the lights of Times Square at night and the George Washington Bridge.
This iconic movie was a huge hit at the box office for Fox with the second highest box office return for 1953.
