This is an original window card (14" x 22") for the film Viva Zapata - 1952. This is not a reproduction or reissue.
Condition: Very Good. Darkened with age. No Pinholes.
Window cards were introduced in the 1910s and were displayed at locations outside of the theater around the community such as store windows, telephone poles, etc....Theaters would normally purchase the cards in bulk and because so many were needed, they were printed using a cheaper process than the standard poster. The top blank border was used by theaters to write dates and show times. Window cards were phased out around the mid-1980s.
