  • Condition: Very bright and solid with no edge damage. It has fold lines from being stored folded due to its very large size, but has only a few very small breaks at the centers of a few folds. This could be easily fixed with the application of a few tiny pieces of archival tape to the posters reverse, but this poster is currently all original with no repair or restoration of any kind.

    Description

    Great original Red Badge of Courage Movie poster from 1951, starring actual World War 2  Medal of Honor winner and the most decorated U.S. soldier in history, Audie Murphy. This is the largest (3 sheet) poster of the time, and would have hung in the theater.  Only 61 were produced.  I believe this numbers 51 of 61, but #54 is written in pencil above the Stamping. Absolutely beautiful condition poster that may be one of only a few remaining in existence. Very Very Rare and impressively large. (That is my shadow on the pictures, and the poster runs the length of the couch)
