Original, 1st US release 1-sheet poster for the Gold Rush Western character study THE HANGING TREE (1959) starring GARY COOPER and one of the leading stars of German cinema MARIA SCHELL. The film was scored by the legendary MAX STEINER, and MARTY ROBBINS sang the title song. There were two firsts in this picture: This was the first film Cooper made with his company Baroda Productions, and it's the film debut for GEORGE C. SCOTT.
