VINTAGE AND RARE MELODEON HOHNER PRECIOSA CLUB ACCORDION - With Case & Strap!Treble: 25 Button 2 Voice
Bass: 8 Button 2 Voice
This is a rare and unique “Hohner Preciosa” diatonic miniature/club accordion, produced sometime between 1935 and 1943 by Hohner Musikinstrumente GmbH Co. This company is well known for its accordions and harmonicas and has been in existence since around the mid-1800s. A copy from the German brochure from 1934 is also shown. The serial number on the accordion is 75187 if you are interested in researching this instrument's history.
This accordion comes in its original case that still has the keys to the case lock which is in working order. It has a powerful sound for its size, but I am guessing that it will need some fine-tuning as it looks like it has not been used in many years. I am not an accordion player so I have no idea what sounds the keys should make, but each key does appear to make its own unique sound (both when you push and when you pull the bellows) and everything seems to be in good working order. The photos should give you a good idea of the condition. Please see photos for full details.
Please note that the Hohner company does offer a service to provide the instrument's age and their recorded information on the accordion for a EUR 30.00 fee. The information they require is the model and the serial number. They will attempt to provide the exact delivery date with shipping location. My understanding is that they provide the delivery dates of the instrument in a certificate form.
