This authentic Baroque period baby cradle was lavishly hand carved for an aristocratic baby in the 1700's with flower and dolphin motifs. Wormy solid walnut is hand hewn with wooden pegs at the joints, brought from Germany.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving planing and chisel marks plus shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
Size is 39" long, 19" wide and 21" tall.
