This is an original 1-sheet movie poster as used in movie theaters. This is in either good, used condition or brand new depending on whether or not it has been used at all. A very lightly used, unrestored poster with fresh, saturated colors. In folded posters, the most minimal wear at the folds is acceptable. Please see description and list of any flaws (below).

(A Linen Backed poster is a poster that is archivally mounted to acid free paper and canvas where it can be restored if needed. Fold lines and other defects become less noticeable, sometimes even invisible. It can be rolled for shipping and is ready for framing. Linen backing can dramatically improve the overall appearance of a poster and it can substantially increase its value. It is the preferred archival method for conserving and/or restoring a poster. Almost any flaw can be fixed so you would never know it was there.) After this poster was linen backed there is an extra ¾” to 1 ½” canvas border around all edges.

I am not a self-proclaimed professional expert in rating items
but
I do call 'em as I see 'em in the utmost honest and fair way possible although it might actually be in better or worse condition as seen by you.
I have been dealing in movie memorabilia since 1975 and do have experienced knowledge on the grading system. I have noticed that some dealers differ in their opinions on conditions.
Notable defects:

NOTE: The following defects were present on the poster BEFORE the linen back process.

There are pinholes / staple holes in all four corners.
*
There appears to be some fold wear. (But the restoration has made this virtually un-noticeable.)

the bottom quarter panel fold is what appears to be a strip of scotch tape repair. Unable to determine if this was on the front or back.

There are some small brown stains along the top border edge of the poster. (see close-up pics)
* There are 2 large moisture stains on the left side edge of the poster. (see close-up pics)
* As usual the image is fine, would display nicely if framed.
Based on your ideas of quality, this could be a candidate for restoration or linen-back. No worries. This was linen-backed!
Still a nice collectible, regardless. This will be sold AS IS! No exceptions. You will not be disappointed.

When buying an Original Poster from the 1960's, 1970’s or 1980’s. Check the NSS #
National Screen Service
as it should always be printed on the poster in the bottom right-hand corner. (There are certain exceptions.) Second: In most cases, there should also be an ink stencil of the movie and the NSS # on the back of the poster. If you don't see, at least, one those 2 things, question the authenticity of the poster.

Sometimes you won’t find these on independent films that weren’t printed by the NSS. Also, most one sheets made prior to 1990 are sized 27x41; most after this date are 27x

There are many people selling reprints, commercial prints (may be advertised as International), and video posters and may be trying to sell them as original release posters. Please be aware any one-sheet that is not 27" x 40" or 27" x 41" is more than likely a poster of these types (24x36 is the most common size of reprint). While some of these may end up being collectible, at this time there is a very limited market for these items. If the listing does not say original, always ask the seller to verify the authenticity.
